All countries need the Swiss system, let the people vote to decide issues, voting to elect representatives is not enough.
Let the people grow up and take responsibility for all key policies and laws.
In my opinion, the Europeans banning US flights are suicidal, but the people should decide that, not politicians.
Europe needs a deep political reset and feel proud of being Europe again; the peoples who produced the amazing civilisation that is civilizing the whole World; even the Jews, Chinese, Indians, etc., have accepted European thinking.
Trump, Farage, Orban, etc., can not fix the West, the people of the West have to fix the West
By the way, European civilisation is not Judeo Christian at all, it is Greek. It is the logical continuation of Greek civilisation. The traditional religion is what is JudeoChristian. Remember the Church did not like the Renaissance of Greek thought, did not like democracy. In fact, the Church tried to kill Galileo and all freedom of thought with the Inquisition.
The JudeoChristian religion opposed rational understanding of life and the Universe. Is was the Italians who connected with Ancient Greek and Roman reason who forced JudeoChristianity and indirectly all other religions, into retreat, universal inexorable total retreat, not with violence, like the crazed Marxists do, but with reason and the inevitable advances of science.
The time has come to say a friendly good bye to all religions, all based on magical beliefs, and say hello, finally!, to humam Reason.
One important first step would be for the peoples of the World to decide they do not need kings, Ayatollahs, Popes, Rabbis, Priests and any divine scriptures, General Secretaries of Communist Parties and their insane Marxist anti-religion religion, to decide what is right and wrong, to govern ourselves, to understand life and the Universe, all we need is reason.
It is humam reason that improves the lives of humans, not any religion;

Human brains improve human life, not gods, holy books, prophets, priests, rabbies, not magical beliefs in Gardens of Eden, Heaven, the Devil and on and on.
All ordinary humans can take a huge step forward; demand to be masters of their communities and nations. This means putting the voters in charge, not ant leaders, elected or not.
That is the Ancient Greece system of government, the people hold the power to make the final decision on ANY issue, after respectful debate of proposal and decision by majority vote; not the king, not the Communist or Fascist dictator, not even the elected politicians.
In a real democracy, elected politicians carry out the will of the people, they do not lead or guide the people.
The only modern country that measures up to real democracy is Switzerland. In Switzerland the people in the town, the city, the canton (state or region) and at the national federal level are the final authority on any political or economic issue, not the executive, not the legislative, no even the judges of the highest court in the land.
So to fix the West ( and human societies all over) we all need rhe Swiss system.
Canada’s opposition leader, Polievre, is right, Canada needs the Swiss system, but so does the US and ALL other democracies, even the Scandinavians.
